Fantastic to see the no entry except cycles on the waterfront in Ipswich. Most cycles used the road rather than the busy shared use so makes proper what people are doing anyway.

Stylish new bridge (with steps and lifts) across the tracks at Morlaix station

Morlaix station - bikes welcome on the trains, but no tandems, no trailers

Not officially a shared-use route, but why not? As long as you're not an idiot at the bus stops.

Pretty pathetic cycle provision at Tesco, Carbis Bay (also 3 similar stands in the distance)

The main arc of the new Stockingfield Junction bridge appears to be unofficially open, but the branch to Ruchill still has barriers. The steps provide a direct route option for pedestrians not needing the ramp.

Some artwork can be found alongside the new Stockingfield Junction bridge.

The new Stockingfield Junction bridge on the Forth & Clyde Canal.

The path towards Gilshochill suddenly gets narrow. Narrow enough that for people to pass, one has to stand aside off the path.

  • Icon 186391 The path under the railway here called the Cattle Arch is unsafe during the evening, especially in the winter, as the tunnel becomes very dark. As the route is used primarily by those on their way to and from school I feel some form of light is necessary under the arch to improve visibility and deter groups of youths
  • Icon 186390 Could Market St. be closed to non essential traffic every weekend? If shops and cafe’s could use more outdoor space with seating it would make a lovely space to socialise and shop.
  • Icon 186389 A secure cycle parking area near the public toilets would be a good location.
  • Icon 186387 Often overgrown foot path which is inaccessible
  • Icon 186386 Passage under M2 which often floods at entrance and has poor lighting
  • Icon 186385 Cyclists have to join the main road at the old barn inn. A small entrance at the point indicated would allow a path through to a crossing and the existing cycle path
  • Icon 186384 Junction at West Avenue is extremely busy, especially with HGVs turning in to industrial estate. Crossing it can be difficult and views are often obscured by parked cars. A pedestrian crossing should be installed.
  • Icon 186383 An exception plate should be added to allow cycle users to turn left from Great Central Street into All Saints Road. This is the most obvious route from city centre to new homes in Waterside development & there is no conflict as ped crossing is uncontrolled.
  • Icon 186382 Cycle lane is too narrow and bendy, with multiple crossings in a short space. These are not only annoying but dangerous, especially when on a Santander bike (easier to fall over on tight bends). Should be a long, straight and wide path and make cars be careful on the turn towards Freemens' Common.
  • Icon 186381 Make contraflow for cycles. Already used informally, there is enough space & motor traffic volumes/speed are low enough, so would just need traffic order/signage.
  • Icon 186379 Although used by people cycling, crossing is currently pelican rather than toucan crossing. Should be made toucan for clarity.
  • Icon 186325 Widen pavement to enable people to cycle from the Alban Way to Highfield Park off road. Given the worn out grass here there is a major desire line.
